How many times are you so change your personal defense ammo in your weapons?
I have many weapons, but more specifically I have 3 that I instructed to keep the defense ammunition, high quality personal at all times. I have a Kel-Tec P3AT .380 ACP, which I wear in a pouch pocket, if I want to be very well hidden, a Glock 23C .40 cal for concealed carry most of the time (or sometimes overtly) and a Springfield XD .45 ACP in a certainly quick on my bed for the national defense. I do not remember all kinds of ammunition in each but I think it is Ranger SXT is a Hydra-Shok, etc. When I read the ammunition purchased and loaded, I was careful not to try to "finger" on the entire surface primer and I do not have the ammunition any adverse conditions exposed to moisture, chemicals, fingering, etc. Realistically, how long should I leave before I change the ammunition? I mean, I know, in a perfect world would Change if it was money all day care. But ammunition is very expensive at first, then I want a good balance between security and national strikes. Your thoughts?
I do every six months to a year in the regular wear situations where the munitions are not exposed to the elements. When I click on an excursion outside where my weapon and ammunition are exposed to weather, I'm changing every three days to a week depending on how they are exposed. One reason is because I use a invasions oil-water displacement as PB Blaster to remove water and then still use oil gun which of course can and ammunition a compromise short. I found this the hard way, after a river floating in the space of three weeks with the same ammunition. After all exposure to water displacement of water and lubricating oil I had a whole magazine around detonators, the shooting would little more than 30 meters after leaving the barrel. If the weapon never leaves home, I rarely change the ammunition and up to five year absence with the same ammunition. I've never had a misfire or ammunition I have in the house and the elements, until 20 Years have been held.
